Joel Loxton is a Melbourne-based director, screenwriter, and filmmaker. He graduated with a Masters degree from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2011 with his award-winning film, Able. In 2014, he was invited to attend the Australian Film, Television, and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney. 

He recently wrote and directed The Kangaroo Guy: a short film that began its festival release in late 2015. He is currently developing a new project with a Melbourne-based writer. It is expected to move into production in mid-2016.
